We arrived at our cottage in Shrewsbury with enough time and energy to go to Rondeau Provincial Park before dinner.
The cottage backs onto a short canal and overlooks a wetland.
The road into the park is lined with trees and wildflowers.
We had excellent directions to a tree with a Screech Owl and we were able to see it facing the sun.
While walking around the area, we saw a young American Robin begging and then flying down to the ground close to an adult.
We had time for a short walk along a wet wooded trail.
There were boardwalks to keep us dry and wildflowers in bloom.
Red Columbine
In the parking lot of the visitors’ centre, a Yellow Warbler was trying to chase away his reflection on the front of a van.
There was a variety of big birds dominating the feeders behind the centre.

Tina Turner died recently. We saw her with the Ike and Tina Turner Review when we were undergraduate students. It seemed that one of the Ikettes was out of step with her 2 partners part of the time. Perhaps she was a new recruit. She was forcefully shoved in the right direction by another dancer from time to time. All of the videos available show very polished dance moves.
Her control of an audience was total.
She had several friends in show business; including Cher and Jagger.
